ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) supports ICE’s mission to protect national security and public safety by upholding healthcare standards across ICE-owned and contracted facilities and ensuring detained aliens receive required healthcare. IHSC does this by working with community-based healthcare providers for emergency and specialty care services.

What We Do:

Acentra Health is currently under contract to provision a claims processing system for IHSC. In this role, Acentra Health is establishing technical environments, setting up data services, software configurations, recruiting, and training staff to support the contract.

Acentra Health, in their contractual role with IHSC, does not make healthcare decisions. This includes whether care is authorized or approved, what treatment is received, which providers deliver that care, or any other aspect of clinical care provision.

Acentra Health is preparing the technical system to support future provider claims processing for IHSC. As part of this preparation, a new online provider portal is under development to streamline administrative workflows.

Federal timelines and agency authorizations will dictate the date the new IHSC system will begin accepting claims. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions section for future updates.

Updated System Features will include:         

  • Improved Claims Adjudication: Designed for more efficient claims processing and reimbursement workflows.
  • Direct Claims Entry: Featuring online submission capabilities and real-time tracking.
